Thanks for the information. My case is similar to you where RFIE request co-sponsor. My RFIE received on Sept 27.

I went to my congressman office to request them to expedite my EAD. The receipt numbers are not even working online.

I know Houston got a long wait for AOS so I only focus on getting the EAD/AP asap.

Best of luck to all of us.

Fortunately, the EAD/AP is processed by a separate office than the AOS application (National benefits center vs Houston local office.) They are typically taking 70-90 days to process the EAD/AP, so unless you have financial or personal reasons to really get before the 70 days, you should be ok!

I don't even have an interview scheduled yet :( I just have no idea how and when to submit a new i-693. There seems to be no official instruction on that...

I think it would be better for you to have de new medical exam done once you get your interview, then just submit them directly to the officer at the interview. That is what I'm doing. My lawyer advised me to not submit my medical exam along with my AOS packet because since Houston takes forever, it would be expired by the time I got an interview and I would have to take them again. Recently I received a letter from immigration telling me that since I did not submit my medical along with the AOS packet I can bring them to the interview.

7/19/2016 AOS package sent

7/22/2016 Package Received

7/27/2016 Check cashed

I think it would be better for you to have de new medical exam done once you get your interview, then just submit them directly to the officer at the interview. That is what I'm doing. My lawyer advised me to not submit my medical exam along with my AOS packet because since Houston takes forever, it would be expired by the time I got an interview and I would have to take them again. Recently I received a letter from immigration telling me that since I did not submit my medical along with the AOS packet I can bring them to the interview.

Wow that's great. I somehow thought that if you didn't submit it with the AOS package they'd issue an RFE. It's awesome that you can just bring it to the interview, saves some money! I guess I'll just wait then :)

What I was meaning, WHEN you received your interview date, go get your medical done quickly then before interview, Then take it to your interview

Gotcha. Thanks!
