So here is the long story short, I've been married with my wife for 2 years, she is from mexico, born there, we got married in Mexico in June 7 2013. She also had a child when she was 15 but that was in the united States but she went back to Mexico just before turning 18 on 2012, would that be any problem? The the issue here is what type of visa should we apply for? We wanna apply for a temporary visa for a family member for her, would this be good? And I heard that we can fill out forms for her to get a permanent residency, while she is in the United States., if thst possible? And How long would this process take?

Would filing a I-130 and adjustment of status be good, when she is an immediate relative?

Need help understanding this, I'm just confused.

Since you've been married more than two years, she would receive an IR-1 visa. Same process as CR-1, but no need to remove conditions later. She remains outside of the US for the process, unless she has another visa that allows her to visit.

Does the birth certificate have to be the original? Or can it be a printed copy? And does the marriage certificate have to be translated?

Generally, her birth certificate can be a certified copy (but double-check this with someone who specifically knows Mexican birth certificates).

For the USCIS portion, anyone can translate the marriage certificate so long as that person is competent in both English and Spanish. There is a text block to add certifying this, see here.

For the embassy/consulate portion, generally the local language does not require translation (but double-check their specific requirements).
