I got RFE on our petition.i married to a US citizen in dubai, because of arabic tradition,i register the married in my home country nigeria,i attested the certificate from nigeria and even with the dubai embassy from nigeria but i did not go to the ministry of foreign affair in dubai and nigeria embassy in dubai before i send the certificate to my wife for the filing.now they need a photocopy of the certificate from where we married,it also stated it can be from the ministry of foreign affair of nigeria, now i got back the certificate and took it back to dubai ministry of foreign affair and nigeria embassy and all stamps are now on the certificate.secondly, they ask my wife for the proof of name change which she is now progress in homeland security and she was told that she will be given receipt of the new name after she show them the original certificate.she will get the certificate by tommorrow as shipping is on progress, now i dont want to make any mistake and i am soliciting for clarification if the receipt from homeland security can be a proof and my completely attested married certificate can be accepted.please help.thanks as i wait for your reply

i say wait until the uscitizen petitioner has all in her hands,

then answer the RFE with all.

All is a good thing, really.

If not all then expect a denial on the petition.

Query - was this for an I-130 petition or an I-129F petition ?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

How long did immigration give you to return the documents to them? I don't need an answer to this just be aware of time limitations and get them to USCIS on time. This is the important part. My RFE said return the documents in 30 days

It didn't say 30 business days. Be aware of this
