Confused about what to file

UK citizen married to an US citizen..

i currently am in the UK

she is in the USofA

I know we have to file a 1-130 what else do we have to file for me to get over to the US to be back with my wife?

very confused about this as the lawyers we have spoken to have given time frames of 3 months to " at least 1 year"

so please help

Rereview the comparison a little longer, there are 2 separate options(possibly a 3rd however less applicable to most). Review the available guides.

Timeline

I think the processing times for the I-130 and I-129f are about the same now so don't know if filing a subsequent I-129f will let you enter the US quicker.
