I got this from uscis Thus! On April 8, 2015, the Department of State sent us your case for review. We are reviewing it, and will notify you by mail when we are done. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

From April till date is been 5 months now I ve not heard anything from USCIS and when we call them on phone, all we get is wait for 180 days, I need advice on what next to do and secondly, any one who has been through such pls your input will help a lot....

Dear visa Applicant:

This office will be returning your petition to the United States with a recommendation that it is revoked. Your case will remain pending under section 221(g) of the immigration and Nationality Act while it is retuned to National Visa Center for their review. When their review is complete, they will contact the petitioner, who will then have the opportunity to respond. If the case is reaffirmed, we will contact you to set up a new appointment date. If the case is not reaffirmed, the petitioner will be notified and the National Visa Center will close the case.

Sincerely,

American Consular Officer

What did the 221g say? Were you missing documents? Was your visa application denied? Give us more details

It's taking 1 year and more to get a letter of NOIR (Notice of Intent to revoke) or NOID (Notice of Action to Deny) from USCIS. Getting an attorney will not make USCIS move any faster so that would be a waste of money. A Senator or congressman all they can do is tell you want you know its at USCIS and being processed. I know of two from Lagos since September last year still waiting for word from USCIS. So all you can do is hold tight.

Now if you want to you can contact congressman or senator they should have already been involved soon as you were denied at embassy. But call them just to make them work. That's what they are there for us. Just don;t expect alot to be done.

Hopefully you are just still visiting and collecting evidence and getting ready in case they ask for evidence to address the denial points.

What was the reason for the visa refusal ? Was anything else written or marked on the 221g ? What questions did they get stuck on during the interview ?
If you know the reason spend the waiting time to generate evidence to overcome the refusal and submit it when you receive the NOID/NOIR letter

in a few more months. As Dwheels said, it can take about a year or more.

According to our records, the I-130 petition and the recommendation for revocation will be returned through the National Visa Center to be forwarded to Department of Homeland Security's U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (DHS/USCIS) because the beneficiary failed to convince the Consular officer that he has a bona fide relationship with you. After USCIS has reviewed the petition and the Consular officer's memorandum, USCIS will contact you and give you the opportunity to present more information. However, that is not something that can be done here in Lagos at this time. The next step is to wait until USCIS contacts you.

It may take several weeks for USCIS to receive and determine action on the petition. We advise you to contact USCIS with any additional inquiries as the case is considered closed in Lagos.

Sincerely,

Dear Senator XXXX,

Thank you for your inquiry regarding the CR-1 immigrant visa application of xxxxxxx, as brought to Senator xxxxx attention by his constituent, xxxxxx.

Mr.xxxxx was interviewed January 22, 2015. After interview and review of the application and accompanying evidence, the consular officer determined that Mr.xxxxx had not demonstrated that he had a bona fide spousal relationship with the petitioner. The officer's supervisor has reviewed the case and concurs. The officer returned the I-130 petition to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on January 29, 2015 for their review. Once USCIS reviews the file, they will contact the petitioner and give her the opportunity to respond.

While we are sensitive to the petitioner's concerns, we have no additional information on this case, which is now considered closed in Lagos. Since we no longer have jurisdiction over the case we suggest that she send any questions she may have directly to USCIS. Public inquiries for USCIS can be made at 1-800-375-5283. Useful information is also available on their website, www.uscis.gov<http://www.uscis.gov.

I hope this information is helpful in responding to the concerns of your constituent. Please feel free to contact us again if you require further assistance.

Best regards,

U.S. Consulate General,senator

If you did not front load then the decision is often made already before the interview.

Keep collecting various means that you communicate with, skype, chats, apps, phone logs, another visit because face time is most important.

If you own land or property together submit the papers for it. Petitioner can take out a cheap life insurance and designate beneficiary,

there are several things you can do to generate evidence of a bona fide relationship. Think what you can co mingle while living apart.

It is important to front and side load for Lagos.

Its 9/24/2015 and we still have not heard from USIS. The Senator involved in my case says Ghana consular believes our marriage is a sham. Dont know why USCIS approving cases if cases are just going to be returned back to USIS. To be honest me and my husband is making plans to live elsewhere.

Thanks ADMPRO.... My wife and I are working much harder getting some evidence especially call logs I was unable to come up with one during my interview I believe the CO will be wondering if my wife and I don't talk on phone for 4 years relationship. This time am getting our Skype screen shots together I hope it will help to prove we do talk on phone. I pray soon all of this will come to an end
