Non U.S. citizens with B1/B2 "Visitor" or WT status will not be approved for a Kentucky license or ID card. All non U.S. citizens may drive in the U.S. on their valid foreign license and International Permit for up to one year from the date of admission into the U.S. provided their home country is part of the Geneva Compact. Drivers from non pdficon_small.gifGeneva Compact countries must obtain a Kentucky license within 30 days of establishing residency in Kentucky

he can use his country's driving license for a year / i took an international driving license to Morocco and didn't need it / only a few places actually issue a legal one so most countries are leary of them

When he goes to apply he will also need proof of his address like being added to utility bill such as water or electric / they may also want to see letter addressed to him such as the one his SS card came in

but this may be something just TN requests

You should also check on your auto insurance. You may not be covered by your husbands auto insurance unless you have a US driver's license.

Hi, I entered US with K1 visa in Kentucky.

I got married, applied SS Card(waiting for them to mail it now) and am preparing for AOS now.

I have a question.

After I get my SS Card, can I get a drivers license? or Do I need to wait till I get GC?
