My husband and I are pretty much ready for our interview next week, however he is concerned about any payments or fees we might have to pay. He wants to be extra sure. I know about the money that has to be paid to Domex (is it $10 or $11) and the USCIS immigration fee. The IV bill has already been paid. I am a citizen and our visa category is the IR1. Additionally, has anyone paid the immigration fee after arriving to the US? How did that work? Thanks for any help.

No fees for IR1/CR1. I know many people who wanted until they got here. No big thing really. Some even got faster than those who paid before. It really doesn't matter when you pay.

Like mentioned above, if you paid IV visa to NVC, there shouldn't be any additional payments. Domex is no longer being used. My uncle, who recently wen through this, payed the USCIS fee once his wife arrived. no issues. Received Green card in about a month. You can also pay it while in DR, i dnt see it being a problem. of course, pay it after you visa is approved God permitting.

Good luck. let us know you interview experience if possible.
