I think my case file is wrong?

Hello, i am registering my appointment at the consulate online, and it says that the case file number has to begin with NPL, but mine starts with WAC and it's invalid for registration... what should i do? Thank you to anyone who can help me with this..

The WAC Number is the number you received from USCIS. This one is irrelevant here. The case number that you need to schedule the interview is the number you got from NVC. It should be with your documents that you have received from the embassy (Packet3).

It isn't with the Packet 3 we only have the WAC one..

That is highly unusual. Are you sure? Call up NVC or send an email ( NVCINQUIRY@state.gov) and ask for your case number. You will need to give them your WAC number (put it in subject line). But calling there is much quicker and they are usually very nice and helpful.

Nina92: Best of luck with that email thing... 90% of the time they don't reply to emails at all. You are better off calling them direclty and pray to God you are able to get through to them.

yes i noticed i managed to call and talk with an operator after 45 minutes of wait, so now it's all done and cleared up!
