Status Check - US embassy London

Hi

I put through my DS160 and readiness form before my medical. My case was updated yesterday which means they received my medical results and are planning interview date.

I have been looking at the Status check for the US embassy and they are currently doing rediness forms sent on Sep 14.

Im going to assume that mine is technically the 21st as thats when all my stuff got to the embassy, in which case, I have to wait until they change to the 21st before its worth starting to call NVC for interview date. IS this correct?

Does anyone know how accurate this status check is?

Thanks

I don't know, ours is DCF I-130. I've been going quietly out of my mind as it seems to be taking so much longer than others I have seen. I did see that my CEAC status updated today, but then I emailed last week to see if there was any news, so it could be them just looking at my case. That said, there has been no response to my email so I am hopeful that they assigned my appointment today. I will let you know if I get an appointment letter in the next couple of days.

I know exactly how you feel. Being so close to the end, I thought I would breeze through this stage. I'm so incredibly stressed, don't feel like I can relax until I get that appointment letter through. ?

I just got an email through from the Embassy, our letters must have been lost because we have an interview scheduled for October 5th. They are resending out the letters.

Looking at the medical to interview timescales thread they're varying from 6-8 weeks from medical to interview.

If your medical is October 2nd then you could be looking at interviewing middle-end of November. Then add on the time to receive your passport back with the visa which currently looks like it's taking 1-2 weeks.

I'm going to file my readiness form a week before my medical just so they know it's coming :) My petition runs out November 29th so I'm hoping they will schedule an interview before then but I put my date for intended arrival as 17 November. I'm really hoping to be out there in November at some point.

Fingers crossed my interview will be early-mid November. Things move fast for some, so hopefully I'll be one of them :D

Get another letter of intent from your fiancee dated now just in case you need it….. better to have it "in hand" on the off chance that you run over.

My Medical was on the 11th and case was last updated on the 21st (i assume thats when medical results were received and put into the system)

I need to find out interview date asap. Does anyone know if they update case status once you get an interview date? Im happy to call NVC for my date in case letter takes a while, but I dont know when to call. If I know they update the case status then I know to start calling after that.

I tried calling NVC for interview date and was told that only embassy can tell me the interview date. From previous experience I suspect this means it's just not been assigned yet. I am hoping once it is assigned NVC will be able to see it and tell me.
