Am I missing something here?

If the certificate is a fake then he lied.....................so was refused.............moral of the story don't lie!!

If the certificate isn't a fake, provide evidence, resubmit happy days

Doesn't really matter if he needs education certs or not, either he lied or he didn't

i feel that he provided fake degrees in order to get better job in US but its seems he is stupid how can he provide a fake degree even knowing that US embassy can verify these documents

But my question is do they really verify the educational documents as long as my information educational degrees are not important but embassy verify all the documents

I think you answered your own question. If the embassy stated his education documents are fake then evidently they verify them.

Maybe but i was shocked too why would they refused visa for educational background since CR1 visa does not depends on education basis he said his case will go back to USCIS and they can impose a BAN on him too

It wouldn't be about his educational background, it would be about his lie. A FAKE document of any kind is going to cause a person to be denied. Even a child can grasp that trying to deceive someone will get you busted if you're caught.

He can explain what happened to the head of the school he attended, and request a letter which verifies that his certificate is genuine. That's it....easy as that.

If his education certificate is real, then he will most defiantly be able to obtain that letter. if his certificate is fake, he's out of luck. No USA.

Ask him did he apply before for a student Visa maybe that's what it is. We have read just this week how the past lies catch up to you.

Or he might have stated he has a job lined up in US and had fake documents. Seems weird since educational degrees aren't ask for. This seems like someone's past caught up to them and they were denied because of false student visa. Ask him.

Wait they will refuse you if you don't have a certain level of education? Or is this just a case of lying about it? I only have some high school not all of it. Will that cause me problems??? I didn't think education mattered.....now I'm nervous my interview is in 4 days.

Interesting discussion about CR1 visa and educational qualifications.

I have a similar question for my fiancee. We have the NOA2 and case number from NVC. Hopefully, her interview is soon!

Question is : she has a professional degree in chemistry. DS-160 asks about " have you gotten training in chemical,biological sciences?". She answers yes for that. Will the CO question her about this in a K1 interview? Does she need any documentation about the her actual work to her interview?

Question is : she has a professional degree in chemistry. DS-160 asks about " have you gotten training in chemical,biological sciences?". She answers yes for that. Will the CO question her about this in a K1 interview? Does she need any documentation about the her actual work to her interview?

That question is for specific security checks. I doubt that it will come up in the interview. She does not need any documentation about her work.

UPDATE: July 5, 2015 updated on all 3 cases, RFE received June 30, 2015.

Service request : Aug 12, 2015, letter received that it will be processed within 90 days from receipt of RFE.

UPDATE: Aug 24, 2015, EAD card being produced/ordered. ( 102 days from AOS receipt day and 55 days from RFE response received.) Thank you Jesus !

Sept. 21 Interview, 2 hour interview, we were separated and asked about 50 questions each for an hour each. IO was firm but professional, some smiles.
Several service requests made, contacted Senator and Ombudsman. Background checks still pending.
July 21, 2017 HOME VISIT.  Went well. Topic thread in AOS forum.
Waiting to skip ROC and get 10 yr GC due to over 2 year while pending AOS
AOS APPROVED Oct. 4, 2017 * Green card in hand Oct 13, 2017 !!!!!

First K1 denied after 16 month of AP. Refiled. We are a couple since 2009. Not a sprint but a matter of endurance.
