Hi, all! I requested an expedite at NVC and was approved :) I want to share the details as I wasn't able to find much info about this before submitting my request. Hope it helps others out!

My situation:

Lived abroad with husband & stepkids for 4 years.

Our son was born abroad and applied for crba.

Filed i-130's from abroad. (got "auto-expedited", but an RFE set us back a couple months)

I traveled home with our infant son to re-establish domicile.

Expedite requested due to financial hardship to NVCExpedite@state.gov

I simply explained that I was having a hard time taking care of my baby and finding a job that would pay for daycare and cover my other bills as a single mother and that once reunited with my husband this would be solved.

I attached my bank statement and western union receipts from money I'd sent to my husband and stepkids.

After 2 weeks I got notice that embassy is willing to expedite the cases :)

Good luck to you all.
