post-29041-1172678462_thumb.jpg hey everyone!!! I have a question that i have been trying to find the answer to, and I fiqure that would be the place to get an answer!! :) .

My question is what is the process time with the NVC?? I went onto the NVC site and the bulletin is just confusing and gives me no answer. I had recieved the NOA 2 and it said it was recieved on feb. 7th, and I am just curious if anyone from around this timeframe heard anything from the NVC or if not if anyone has any good info about it.

For a K3 you won't receive anything from the NVC. They basically receive it into their system and then forward it on to the appropriate consulate. You can email them to confirm if they have received it. Make sure to include your USCIS receipt number, and the name and date of birth of the beneficiary, and that you are the petitioner. The email address is: NVCINQUIRY@state.gov

Actually NVC will send the petitioner a letter with the case number and which consulate they sent it to. Usually it arrives much later, well after the case is already at the consulate. :)

I had good luck with email and phoning them. By the time I got my case number through phone and email, it had already been there and left!

Yeah, CSC is really slow at forwarding approved petitions to NVC. I think they do it in bulk like maybe once a week or every 2 weeks. VSC forwards them right away!

I phoned NVC on 2/16 (NOA2 of 2/5) and they told me that my petition had been sent to London that day. The snail mail letter I received from them was dated 2/20 and said they'd be sending the petition out in a week. As we've already received packet 3 from the Embassy, I assume the snail mail date was a bit off.

I had no trouble getting through to someone at the NVC (603 334-0700); I was on hold for all of two minutes before I got to talk to an actual person. You tell them your USCIS case number, and they'll tell you your new State Department case number and status. If it's been sent on already and you want to be really obsessive, you can use a DHL tracking trick to try to follow your package to the Embassy: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=52110
