Hello folks, I am a US citizen and currently unemployed since a few years, I got married to my husband a year ago, we are trying to file the AOS, we even hired a lawyer. We sent all the documents asked by the lawyer, including my parents 1040 forms from 2012 and 2013 and latest transcript for 2014. My lawyer just sent me an email saying that the co-sponsor won't work, but my step-father worked 33 years for General Motors and gets a pension, also he is 64 and gets social security. I still don't understand why they cannot be my husband's co sponsor. I can ask my grandmother to sponsor but she's a reitred lady too, but they all make more than 150% poverty level and the lawyer still wants me to find somebody who is employed, I have a small family and I do not want to ask anyone other than my family to help us. Is my husband's lawyer telling the truth, if so, what should our next gameplan be?
