Hello my friends:)

The time has come and we finally got a date for my interview appointment with the embassy in Greece...October 22nd!!

There are probably many topics on that matter but I was wondering what kind of questions they will ask.

Let me give you some background on my case:

We applied for cr-1 since we got married almost a year ago (!) October 29th 2014. My husband has dual citizenship, greek-american. We are the same age and we met 2.5 years back (2013) while I was an exchange student in New York. Before we got married I was denied a student visa because the officer wasn't convinced that I had the intention to return to my country after the studies. As you can imagine I am a bit scared that they will give me a hard time...

Sorry for the long topic?

Any advice will be highly appreciated ??

Had my interview yesterday, I was asked 4 questions, yes that's all

1. Where does your wife live now, when I answered she said she used to live close and how nice the area is

2. When did she move back to the USA (we used to live in the UK)

3. What job does she do, and where

4. Have I ever lived overseas over the age of 18

That was it, the CO was really nice and friendly

Congrats.

What questions were you asked?

The questions were very simple that you will know for sure about your spouse:

- his job title

- adress of our home

- when I entered the US

- when we last saw each other

- how long we know each other

- if our wedding was arranged ??

- how many guests we had

- if my in-laws were present

And that was it!

The whole interview was more like drinking coffee with a friend. She was asking and smiling?

Depends on the embassy I guess. I received my interview letter a week after case complete with NVC and my date was scheduled for 42 days after.

Natife - we are in the exact same situation as you were. My husband applied for a student visa before we were married and was denied as they thought he did not have enough ties to France. Did they ask you anything or make any reference to this fact for you? Sounds like they did not.

Thanks in advance for your help and advice.

The only thing I was asked is why my previous visa (B1) was "cancelled without prejudice". I just said " I applied for student visa, it was denied so they cancelled all previous visas". Nothing more!

As my lawyer advised: don't overkill it and don't just offer them info. You have the right to apply for visa and they had the right to deny it! Simple

Wish you the best of luck!!
