Hi, I got to USA on August 25th and now married...

I'm ready to file for adjustment of status.

And now I have a question.....

What is NOA 2 approval on I-129F?

What does it look like.....

After my interview for K1visa....she told me I got approved and wait for my passport. In a week my passport is back with visa and I don't think I got anything else.

I'd be appreciate if anyone can help me.

The I129F was submitted, NOA1 is the approval the USCIS received it and your acknowledgement they have it. NOA2 is their approval of it. This is well before your interview and very high up on the flow chart.

What is NOA 2 approval on I-129F?

The petitioner should have received the NOA 2 by US Mail. It is the notice from USCIS that your I-129F was approved.

Here is an example of what it looks like:

Hi I'm also K1 filer, entered US last month and got married.

Now I'm working on AOS.

They are almost ready but have questions

What does NOA 2 approval of I-129f look like?

I dont think I got notice....I was told I'm approved and got passport back with visa in a week so I wonder what I should do with it.

Another question is that I didn't know I can apply for SSN before I get married. I was thinking I will get it once I get AOS.....so can I go to SSN office and apply now while im on process of AOS?

You should ask these questions in a separate thread. As to the NOA2, your American spouse would have this from their I129f approval. As to your SSN, you can apply for that with your K1 I94 if you have at least two weeks left on the 90 day eligibility.

Good Luck!

Yes, you can get the SSN as long as there is at least 2 weeks left on your I-94. Best to apply in your maiden name so it matches the name on your visa anyway. You can go back and change it later to married name after getting EAD/AP or green card in your married name. Follow the SSN guide I linked in the post above in this thread.

The USC petitioner receives the I-129F approval notice.

No, that is the NOA2 approval notice. The NOA1 is just the receipt notice telling you they received your petition, how much you paid and what service center your petition is being processed at.

It tells you on the notices what type it is. The receipt notice states 'receipt notice' and the approval notice states 'approval notice'.

The receipt notice is an I-797C > http://www.uscis.gov/forms/form-i-797c-notice-action

The approval notice is an I-797 > http://www.uscis.gov/i-797-info

A hijack post + replies were split from an unrelated thread, then merged with a stand-alone thread that the OP also started. Everything is intact in one thread now.
