Marriage: American with algerian woman

salam alikom, hello everyone, I am algerian woman, I am in love with an american and want to know in détails what kind of papers i should prapare and what steps i should take. i read sad stories about dificulties faced in Algerian admenistrations while praparing this kind of contracts.

I am looking for the easiest and fastest way to get the mariage license. I've heard about people doing their contracts in Tunisia instead of Algeria, if anyone has idea about that I really would be thankful to hear the answer.

wich is better to do the contract in Algeria or in the U.S.

finally, I really hope, there are people who can read my lines and answer my questions, I am really lost.

The main thing you need to decide is if you want to get married in your home country or in the US. Try to read the guides on this site to get an idea of the differences between the fiance (K-1 visa-if you opt for marriage in the US) vs the spousal (CR1 visa- if you opt for marriage in your home country). Each has its benefits. The most simple way to see it is a spousal visa is cheaper and you can work and travel as soon as the visa is granted. The fiance visa is generally approved faster but you will not be able to leave the US until you have applied for an adjustment of status and you will also be unable to work right away. Also the fiance visa is more expensive. As for what you need to get married in your home country, that is something that perhaps can best be answered by another Algerian.

On another note, have you met this man in person yet? Do you get along well? Also you should consider where he lives, many areas of the US are not what I would call Muslim friendly (not easy to obtain halal meat and no mosque nearby).
