You can't do anything about his GC. It is up to immigration to decide on that. But schedule infopass appointment and see if you can withdraw your affidavit of support.

Good luck

You cannot "withdraw" an Affidavit of Support after the immigrant has already become a permanent resident.

I don't remember how many years they give you after you Adjust your status after K-1. Maybe 10 year green card. either way my husband now decides he doesn't want to be in a marriage, which makes me think he has used me. there is no real reason of why he doesn't want to be married, but said he will be with me still. just not live together or be married. what kind of mess is that. one time we get in a dispute and the first person he calls is an immigration lawyer. what can I do now about his green card since I think he used me. I don't think it is right he stays in the country now, with a job and car etc. living a free life after all the paperwork, money and time I have spent in this relationship. anyone have any ideas???

After K1, your spouse granted a temporary green card, that a year+ expired on his birthday.

Looking at your marriage it was in 2012 so I would think that by 2015 he already has his 10 year card so i don't know what you can do, I agree it looks like once his conditions were removed then basically said bye bye. That might be suspicious but it might also be too late.

Sorry for your loss. It's people like your spouse that give his country a bad reputation with regard to fraud. Divorce him and try to find a way to remove your affidavit of support.

What? Are you telling her to manipulate her husband into confessing something that he might not have done? You can not get someone to confess by emotional harassment and blackmailing. That's not how things work in the United States. Are you associated with Punjab police?

Whether he has a green card or not, he's not going to be deported. I had a close friend whose fiancé came to the USA with only a K1 visa and shortly after that, he walked out the door. That was a year a a half ago. She tired her level best to get him out of the USA, but the government wouldn't give her the time of day. She's not been able to do anything about the affidavit of support either.

After your adjustment of status is approved your husband is given a Conditional Green Card, good for 2 years. In order to remove conditions, after 2 years, he would have to adjust by himself.

If he adjusts, does that still make you financially responsible for him? I don't think so, someone correct me if I am wrong.

If you've applied for AOS and it has not been approved yet, you can still withdrawl your affidavit of support.

Once the green card is issued the sponsor(s) are on the hook until the requirements are met: death, abandonment of the green card, 40 qualifying hours of work, citizenship. Divorce does not cancel the AOS. You cannot withdraw the AOS after the green card has been issued.

Best to just report this and move on. There is nothing you can do to have him deported or take away his green card, only an IJ can do that.

He does have a 10 year, there's nothing i can do. Moving on after 6 years. Easier said than done. Everyone should be warned about this stuff. I should've followed my instincts when i seen he was not the same person when he got out here. Im sick with cancer and he walks away in the midst of my health. That can't be evidence enough...bs. I'll let God take care of it. Maybe we'll end up working things out.

See lot of comments and opinions. The TRUTH is, how long have you been married? If its less than two years then he surely got the 2 years conditional green card and with that you can divorce and withdraw the petition and he cant be able to file for the 10 years. In this way you still have something to do but if he already been given a 10yrs Green Card then sorry you cant do anything about it.
