I'm the USC. On my fiances birth certificate it says "Name(s), First last name, Second last name" There is no "middle name" as is typical with most latin american names. Here's my question. Under the names category (which is for her first name) is written "Anna Jole" with a space between them. When I fill out the 3-325a should I put Anna for the first name and Jole for the middle name or should I put "Anna Jole" in the first name box and write "NONE" in the middle name box?

Thanks

Hi! We put Norma's first name as her first name and her last names spaced under last name. For example if her name is "Ana Ruiz Gonzalez", you would put "Ana" as first name and "Ruiz Gonzalez" as last name. We just left the middle name space blank.

Thank you,

What I mean is though her name for example is "Anna Jole Gomez Rodrigez"

Anna Jole is listed as one name on her Birth certificate. Gomez as her first last name and Rodrigez as the second.

I'm not worried about what to do with Gomez and Rodrigez, I've found that information.

My questions is about the first name. "Anna Jole" I'm assuming they'd be listed both in the first name section but would like to make sure.

Does her voter registration ID or passport say "Anna Jole" on it? If so, then I would think you could put "Anna Jole" in the first name section. I understand the confusion though as the middle name concept is relatively foreign even when there are two names.

This topic discusses the question: http://askville.amazon.com/Mexicans-middle-names/AnswerViewer.do?requestId=410152

I believe it would be considered a first name due to a few pages that I read. Sorry to not be able to find something more definitive.

If the first names are listed on her birth certificate and passport as both being the first name, then list them both as the first name, leave the middle name blank(don't put 'none' there) and put the 2 last names in the last name box.

That will work then. I'll put then both as her fist name. I'd like to hope that regardless of whether it's a "first" or "middle" name and the blank I put it in it won't be a big enough problem for an rfe or something that delays the case. Anyway, u have a question about the last thing said about putting both of her last names. Everywhere I have read says to only use her father's last name and attache a note stating her entire name. Explain which is her father's and which is her mother's. And that throughout the application you will only use the father's last name in any box which ask for her last name. It was about a month ago that I read about that but I think I read it in several different places.

Thanks to everyone whose helping me, I really appreciate it.
