Hello, I have the G-325a for my faince filled out and signed by her. However the signature is dated for october 25. It's an original signature in blue ink, not a copy. Is there any issue with it being dated a month ago? I plan on being able to mail our application in before the end of the week.

Thanks

Why is signed and dated in the future? If the signature was from a month ago, then no problem, but you cannot sign something on a date that has not even arrived yet.

My understanding is that you are trying to date your form as close a possible in order to have a fresh signature; date and sign a couple forms with guesstimate dates then the person mailing the form would use the best dated time frame.

If it is dated for Oct 25, 2015, then you really need to wait to send your petition until AFTER that date has passed. I do not recommend sending your petition in this week unless you have a G-325A signed with either the current or past date. Having a document signed with a future date will likely cause you to receive an RFE for a correctly signed and dated G-325A. It is ok to send in a G-325A that is dated a few months old, but its not ok to have it dated for a month or 2 in the future.

Best advice, either have your fiance send you a new G-325A and sign and date it the date she actually signs it, or wait until the end of October to mail in your petition.

We were in a similar situation, so I was a little bit worried, but it all went fine. My documents were dated June something and my fiancé sent the package at the end of July.

Good luck with your journey!

Nononono, It's dated for August 25th., I wrote the wrong month. Sorry

(Actually the g325a is dated for august 21st and the letter of intent is dated for august 25th)

That is fine.

There was a thread here about an interview with an immigration office, field office director. This question was posed, regarding receiving unsigned, signed, faxed, etc, signatures on the G325A. He stated he wasn't concerned about most things as they can be resubmitted and signed at the interview. In other words; don't post date. If it appears old, attach a new one with the updated information unsigned and make a note of it. In our case, I had employment dates all wrong, on her G325A. I filled a new one out unsigned, attached a mea culpa cover letter, and sent it to the CSC. I then took the corrected one to the embassy interview with us. I asked them if they wanted her to sign it and give it to them, they said no problem and didn't even take it. Their point was that it needed to be materially and substantially correct, and as accurate as possible. Dates, dating the signature, etc, doesn't really add to the materiality of the information. Be upfront, if you think you need to change or update something, do it and send it in, but don't sweat the minutiae about holding a petition or going through the expense of FEDEXing documents back and forth for signatures of theG325A...
