If this is the case that means theres a problem with my case because i havent received any update since april 20th for i485 which is fingerprint fee received.

For sure right now you have a right to file a inquiry service.

Here is the link:

1. https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayONPTForm.do;jsessionid=abcPVjy4Kuagw6tg29Q-u?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=onpt -----=> on this link you can file a service inquiry online → then they will assign your case to an officer to research.

2. Make an infopass

LinK: https://infopass.uscis.gov/

This will make an appointment with your local office to talk with a real officer about your case.

You have the right now, please let me know OK

I didn't realize that you'd received the "ready to schedule an interview" update. That's a whole new can of worms. You're right, it should be in Houston then. I wonder if the 120 day clock starts with that status update. But it's definitely worth a phone call or an email. Good luck!

I just read your case then I believe that your case will be approved soon within a month because I read some threads and see some people who got NPIW in July already got their approvals. Your is June and should be earlier.

I realize that If you call or file a service request inquiry, they gonna speed up a little bit on your case, even they will look back into it and able to speed up a liitle bit → a little help.

I have tried severally to create a case inquiry but it keeps saying my petition is still within normal processing time therefore an inquiry cannot be created.

I'll just try and call them tomorrow and see what they say.

With my calculation your case is only 5 months since your Notice date is 04/20 to 09/20.

It is under 6 months → normal processing time. But make sure to call CS tomorrow Monday to ask when Houston local receive your application or when NBC sent to Houston. If we know that date so we can make an infopass to talk to a real local officer. Thats so far you can try.

I will call CS tomorrow morning and will let you guys know my update soon. We have that right, noone can stop us call them.

There's a very real chance that your application isn't at the Houston office. It's probably still in Missouri where all of the AOS applications start. There's also the chance that you'll receive an NPIW (notice of potential interview waiver) letter and that it will never go to Houston at all. If that happens the letter says that from the date of the letter there will be an additional six months wait. We filed in February and got our letter in June. I'd done some research and found most folks who received the letter got it 4 months after filing. But some got it earlier and some got it later. My local office was working on January 12, 2015 at the end of July. In theory, I should be getting a notice any day now about my interview being scheduled. But I'm doubtful. I'm just hoping that the green card will be here by Christmas... just over 6 months after we received our NPIW. I am hoping the best for you and that the process is faster but wanted to let you know that four to five months might be the best case. Good luck

Here what I found in USCIS website:

All I read is NBC processing your NPIW but they said Local office ordered NPIW to process. Now you can call CS to make sure where is your case is being processed.

1. Please provide updates on new NBC initiatives that are currently in process or are scheduled. We are particularly interested in: the processing of stand-alone Forms I- 130; the processing of interview-waiver eligible Forms I-485 and work allocations assignments to USCIS Service Centers or USCIS Field Offices.

Response: In terms of Forms I-130: With the recent shipment of 2,400 I-130s to Texas Service Center and 1,240 to Vermont Service Center, the project of transferring stand-alone I-130s to the Service Centers for adjudication is complete. For the I-485 Interview Waiver, currently, USCIS field offices are working I-485 interview waiver cases. Field offices order the I-485 IW cases from NBC and adjudicate to completion in the field. We do not have a timeline for when NBC will begin adjudicating the I-485 IW cases. NBC began planning for centralized processing of Civil Surgeon Designations in July, 2010. The new process includes centralized intake via lockbox, standardized application and adjudication process at the NBC, and a standardized system of record keeping and tracking. The new process went live on March 11th, 2014. As of today, NBC has received 70 I-910s.

If your call is useless then fill an infopass to talk to a local officer, looks like this option is better than calling CS. You can schedule or reschedule your infopass anytime.

A good news from unchain this morning,

He just got his interview date on 29th Oct 2015. I am happy for him and for all Houston filers too which means Houston is working on April filers. I told unchain before around the begin of this month September 2015 they are working on March filers. March filers were passed, now they are processing April and Next month will be May and June filers as well.
