Do I need to bring full income tax doc to interview in Montreal?

Quick question everyone: I have my interview at the consulate for my CR1 visa on September 28th. I received this email from the consulate last week: This is what I need to bring:

1. 2014 US tax returns from your Petitioner (1040s & W2s)

2. 2013 US tax returns (W2s)

My question is: Would the 1040A suffice or do I need to bring the entire income tax return?

my husband brought the entire income tax return with him when he had his CR-1 interview in London (UK.) We took the view that 'the more info the better' was the way to go - to cover anything he might be asked for right then, and not risk having to provide it at a later date. He was never asked for it at the interview, but at least we were covered if he would have been!

You have a choice:

• If you bring the 1040A form, then it must be the entire return.
• Tax transcripts can be brought in lieu of 1040s and W2s.

All we had was the IRS transcripts and they were happy with those.

Was that the 1040A? It would be the equivalent to our Canadian Notice of Assessment. A one page summary of sorts of the taxes.

I have emailed the consulate asking them clarification but they would not receive the email until Monday. They usually have been good to respond with 24 hours. If I do need the full version my husband will need to mail it to me....that is cutting it close as it would have to arrive by Friday as I leave for Montreal for the interview a week tomorrow.

Sigh....I can NOT believe what a long two year process this has been and I am still tweeking things a week before the interview

Bring what you sent in. I am getting that you didn't send the transcripts. I checked my copies of IRS Transcripts and they don't have an official IRS Form number. They DO itemize everything that USCIS/NVC looks for, that is why it is easier to just submit those if you can. So my thoughts to you is to bring what you submitted to NVC and you should be fine.
