Case complete but no complete date

Need some help,

I have called the NVC and they at first told me my case was complete but just didn't have a date yet. I waited and called back in a couple days and spoke with someone who said they just had to finish scanning our items but that the case was indeed complete. I called for a third time yesterday and the rep at the NVC seemed puzzled that the case was complete but no date. Whatever she was seeing on her screen she said she had never seen before. My question is has this happened to anyone before? I will be calling on Monday to speak to a supervisor as the NVC rep forwarded it to one but since that's not until Monday I was hoping to have some insight before that. Thanks,

Hi,

The same has happened to me. My case is kind of complicated because I am applying together with my child, so for us to get an interview date, both our cases need to be CC'ed and merged before they leave NVC.

Long story short, I would call and sometimes they would say my case is complete and sometimes they would say there was something missing, but they just couldn't say what it was and asked me to call later. I started calling almost everyday for two weeks, until I finally reached a supervisor who told me that my daughter's I-130 from USCIS was missing - a copy from me would not be good because they needed it with USCIS annotations.

The good part of it was that I got this supervisor's direct number. She was actually kind and attentive. She sent me an email last Friday saying that all is finished, but since I've been going through this for 18 days, I am going to continue calling everyday and will only relax once I get a letter confirming I'm really CC.

What I would suggest is that you start calling every day and asking what is wrong exactly. Always be polite. If the NVC rep is not being forthcoming, try calling again later and talk to someone else. Do not let them get to your nerves. My impression is that if I had not been calling daily, my case would just have been forgotten.

Let me know how it goes for you! I'm sorry we're both stuck in the NVC waiting limbo.

By the way, did you send your documents through EP? My impression is that I probably got in trouble because I sent everything through email, and my hunch is that they do not follow up with things like they do with physical paper documents.

Thanks for your response BRlove. I have called and seemingly getting nowhere. They confirm that my case is closed but they need to finish scanning everything in. Confusing since all our forms were submitted online. How is your case moving along?

I actually just got my Case Complete yesterday - 25 days after I saw my third N/A.

I think our cases are exactly alike. The problem is not really the documents we send, but apparently they also send to the embassy the documents we previously sent to the USCIS. In my specific case, they needed to scan my I-130.

The bad thing was, once I contacted the person who took care of it (I don't know if she's the supervisor of my case or just from the department who scans stuff), it took her *8* days to finally scan it. I was about to lose it.

Start calling everyday. Don't get discouraged if the reps are not helpful. Try to figure out exactly which documents is missing. Ask if you can talk to this department. I can't say how much I regret sending things with Electronic Processing.

I'm in a similar situation. Have called 3 times this month and each time its a different answer and no CC date given. My last scan date that shows my checklist response was received was Sep 3rd.

Each time I called, the rep said something along the lines of "it's in final review"

I'm wondering if they log in the computer every time I call them?

I'm afraid they might not like weekly calling.
