Based on all the posts i read, some are notified of their applications approval through the USCIS website but many others get their hardcopy first while the website status is still unchanged.

I'm starting this topic so that we all get a better idea of what may come up first. This subject may be more important to those who are expecting their applications to be sent to their P.O Box. Where i live having mail sent to the house is not an option, so the only way we will get mail is to open up a P.O Box. Those of you who have a P.O Box know it can go unchecked for a long stretch of time. So if you have a second please answer the following questions:

NOA 1

1. Which came first USCIS website Notification or Hardcopy

2. If USCIS first how long after did you receive Hardcopy and if Hardcopy first, approximately how many days after did they update the website status.

NOA 2

1. Which came first USCIS website Notification or Hardcopy

2. If USCIS first how long after did you receive Hardcopy and if Hardcopy first, approximately how many days after did they update the website status.

Heres mine

NOA 1

1. USCIS Came First

2. 10 days later hardcopy followed

NOA 2

1. N/A

2. N/A

Hello, my husband sent the I 130 on 2nd september to chicago lockbox. And then we tracked the packet and we saw it was being received by the USCIS. Then on 9th september,2015 he received an email saying that the case has been accepted and sent to Nebraska Service Center for processing. Then on around 16th he got the I-797C NOA. I guess this was NOA1. Our priority date is 4th september,2015.

I saw people talking about visa bulletin and they can even know which case they are dealing with, but I'm confused where to know from. Hopefully they will start working on the september cases soon. Hoping for the best.

Tracking is done on the basis of timeline and speculation. It's wild guess. - US CITIZEN CASE

If you are talking about F2A Category then yes there is a visa bulletin board where you can see which month and which year they are dealing with.
