I don't mean to sound negative but this is a tough Emabssy and you say you've been waiting over two months, well my husband and I have been waiting for a descision since September 5,2014, so no there is no speedy process in administrative processing, if you read through Ghana forum there are a lot of us waiting and very high rate of denials for couples from this Emabssy, the questions they most likely kept asking your wife about is probably what there investigating, you do have a plus by being in the military, and the minus they think you married to soon, NVC doesn't make a decision in your case that is from the embassy, your case is still there in Ghana, and nothing bad is going to happen to you just calm your nerves, chat with your wife daily and pray, as I will say a prayer for you also??

Short gaps between divorce and a new marriage are a fraud indicator to the consulate and that is the reason your wife is in AP.

It is what it is and there is nothing you can do but wait until their investigations are completed.

NVC has nothing to do with it.

Thank you for your service. Hang in there.

I do think your dates are wrong. No one can marry in May 5th of 2015 and have an interview by July 8th so, if it is May 2014 you married in reality, it is fast to divorce 14th of April 2014 and marry in May 5, 2014.

And to make it harder you are, like we were, in what immigration deems high fraud country.

You are going to have to prove the relationship is real and marriage is for love.

Good luck to you as we all know the process is difficult

How long were you married (The DV wife) after you received your green card? Since you are in service and petitioning and your wife has already interviewed that means you are a citizen. Correct?

One thing we always ask people is what were the questions and the CO's focus. Seems they were focused on the divorce. And if it seems you married to get her here fast (did you know your current wife before you came to US) to get citizen ship that can be an issue. I am sure all will be well. Just have to be patient. Ghana has gotten real tough lately. But you did the right thing reaching out to the Senator. Now you wait. Keep n contact with embassy monthly and keep your sanity as much as possible. Stay frosty.

They knew each other from High School.

I think they asked your wife for directions because they will send someone from the embassy to come and ask in your area if the marriage is really genuine. That is what they do sometimes in cases like this.

I'm sorry to read about what you're going through.

My Ghanaian husband was just denied last week, and his case sent back to USCIS. Take heart, at least you and your wife are only (I don't mean only - I know it's so disappointing) in AP and not completely sent back to USCIS, which means another 6 months minimum of waiting, and a fight to overcome the denial.

As far as I know, at least your file then is still in Ghana, and they are checking you out more closely. Please Don't despair. It's so easy to do so. You will overcome this.

Keep talking to your wife daily and stay busy. Where there is a real bond, the time apart will be painful, but stick together. This embassy is so tough, and I believe they are just waiting for their behaviors and denials to separate people. Don't let that happen.

I agree I believe they put you in ap sometimes to see if you will tire of waiting and walk away!
