After almost 2 years of waiting for my visa application (F2-A) the long wait was finally over! It's nerve racking, yes you heard me right. But ofcourse there's always a way on how to deal with it.. Preparation is always the key to success! :joy: So, here's the list of things to do (just based on my experience) to make you more confident and well prepared during your interview.

1. Research. Yes, prepare all the possible list of questions regarding your petitioner and you . :clock: yes, its time consuming... but its worth it! Then practice your speech!

Remember, You only get one shot, do not miss your chance to blow ,this opportunity comes once in a lifetime (yo) :joy: by: E.

2. Dress well but not overdressed. Dress appropriately, according to your status ofcourse. its a plus. Avoid printed or novelty shirts (for students)

For professionals, wear dress professionally. You know WHAT i Mean, don't you?

3. Anothers docs to prepare: PROOF OF RELATIONSHIP! yep, during pre-screening they'll ask you what else aside from pictures. CERTIFICATE OF MARRIAGE? yep, but what else????

How about:

CENEMOAR, Joint Bank Accounts, Insurance (listed you as beneficiary), shared properties (cars registered, contract of apartment/house proof that you two are living together, bills purchased together, pets, communication history (ex. skype, facebook, magic jack) PRINT SCREEN and print! etc. its limitless. bring the original copy if must!

4. . :ot2: Research your partners LIFE HISTORY, yep. I know you've been together for a decade now but how about his previous medical histories (his/her allergies, blood type, operation), schools he graduated (elementary-college), employment history, travel history, your history together collect (travelled photos together) and lastly the most important part how about his family??? Memorize every details about him/her  Do your homework, oh right?!

5. Ok, so now... lets say today is the day. You are now 99.5% ready and Your ORIGINAL DOCS is with you and etc. and so Ready to go! but before that do your rituals, charms and PRAY. :innocent:

My scheduled time was 6:15am so I arrived around 4:45am. jUST come earlier to the site . don't worry someone will assist you where to fall in line.

6. Just prepare your DS-260 confirmation, CONFIRMATION with BAR CODE, OK. :hehe: no bar code it means you are not done with the IV application just like what happened to THE other applicants. :( , Appointment letter with bar code and signed/stamped by SLMCE and your VALID PASSPORT!

7. Bring 4 pcs. of passport size PHOTO (the same photo you sent to NVC and medical check up) the embassy didn't ask for another photo but ofcourse I brought mine.

8. DON'T bring your CELLPHONE/ any electronic deviceS, including ANY LARGE baggage with you (those who are travelling) or you'll end up leaving your things to a complete stranger 'coz you GOT no choice. its not admissible. SORRY. plus bring some VALID ID (just in case)

9. Once your inside, 1st step (finger printing) 2nd step ( pre-screening) 3rd step (oath taking).... the last and the 4th step to success is your INTERVIEW!

(Just taking some important details here... :P ) anyway there's always someone to assist you.

10. Ok, so here's some simple advise and and SOME observations from other applicants, the DO's and DONT'S. (just my opinion and experience ok )

a. GREET and SMILE the interviewer. They like it when you sound confident and sure. ANyway you're now well equipped & ready for any answers right?

b. They'll ask you simple question, answer it simply and direct to the point. They don't like flowery words or whatever. The shorter the better.

c. Just keep on smiling, Listen, carefully. I know its a bit scary but be calm and speak slowly just audible enough and clear.

d. Don't talk too much or they'll raise suspicions that you are just making up stories (even though you are not) or you'll look nervous and unsure.

E. When they look bored, coz you're too talkative and saying irrelevant answers with their yet simple question, I guess the result is :( . Don't you want that aiyt. SIMPLE and SHORT. just wait while he/she looking at the comp screen and you'll see he/she will smile and say CONGRATULATIONS you are APPROVED!!!!..... :jest::dance: Just like that! LESS THAN 10 MINUTES INTERVIEW!

BEST OF LUCK GUYS! :D
