Hi,

I am living in Chile, and my parents are co-sponsoring me on the I134 since I have not been working full time this year. I already received their notarized documents, but was wondering if I also need to fill out the forms as well, despite the fact that I don't meet the requirements. If so, can I get it notarized at the cosulate the same day as the interview (the embassy is far away from me, so we would only like to make one trip). If not, is there anywhere else it can be notarized?

Thanks,

JGL

i went all the way to the embassy yesterday to notarize the affidavit of support, just to be told that they JUSt changed the rules and it no longer needs to be notarized. so i asked fo for a copy of the DS-2001 and it says it need to be notarized. i always feel like they are sending me in circules and playing games. You might want to find out if you really have to go before you waste your money and time to get there.
