I-485/I-765 AP Check list

Hello

I am applying for EAD/AOS under new rules with AOS filing date. I am applying by myself without going to attorney.

My Priority date is in May, 2011 for EB2 category. My spouse is on her H1B but GC process is not started. So, I will be applying for her as my dependent. Please check the list below and let me know if I need to send anything else.

1. I-485
2. I-765
3. I-131
4. I-639
5. G-325A
6. Copies of birth certificates with affidavits
7. Copies of all passports
8. Copies of all 797s, I-20s, EAD cards and I-94s
9. Copy of marriage certificate
10. Copy of my approved I-140
11. 6 photos each
12. Original employment letter
13. 2 checks with $1070 each

I have one question.

1. My passport ID page is applicable in many scenarios like with I-485, G-325A, marriage certificate etc... So, should I include 1 copy each time with each form? Or one copy is enough for the whole package??
2. Are tax forms, pay stubs and W-2 necessary? I don't want to complicate the matter by sending unnecessary documents, so just want to make sure.
3. Few people posted they are sending apartment lease documents, auto insurance certificates, health insurance certificates etc. Are all these necessary?

I am not exactly sure what is the best way for question 1, as my husband and I sent in copies of each document for each form. For question 2, if you are sending tax returns instead of transcripts, include ALL pages of the return with every single W2, and yes current pay stubs are are strongly suggested (or letter from your employer). We did receive a RFE (Request for initial evidence) and one thing we didn't send was the employment verification. This info is the best info I have, but I am sure others with more experience can add or correct anything else Good luck!

Thanks for reply Mrs.Hull. I am thinking of sending IRS tax transcript (which will be 1 page per year) and W2s. Full tax returns will have lot of pages and this is not mandatory too..I am sending emplyment letter.

I agree that transcripts are better, so good thing you are sending the employment verification along with it. Good luck to you, and I hope that all goes well!
