Can I schedule my interview for my fiancé now or do I have to wait?

Pay the visa fee at BPI, wait 12-24 hours then schedule the interview (holidays and weekends are not counted)

Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center.

Do they schedule the appointment, or do they just say that. Also, the guy from NVC I talked to yesterday stated I would get an email with the MNL Number but it hasnt arrived yet. Is this normal? Thanks.

That is a canned response from NVC, only relates to immigrant visas, means nothing in regards to the K-1 visa.

You will only get an email from NVC with your MNL# if you sent an email requesting it, otherwise you will only get a letter in the mail.

Unless you have your MNL# that you received from NVC, then you will not be able to schedule your interview. If you have the MNL# from a call then yes, you can begin but you will also need the MNL# in a hardcopy. Use the following format to receive you MNL#. It will take some time for a response, so be patience and don't e-mail the NVC more 1,000 times as once is enough.

Body: Petitioner's Complete Name Birthday ; Beneficiary's Complete Name Birthday

My NOA 2 is Sept. 2 but I haven't called NVC yet to check my case. I checked your timeline and your NOA 2 is Sept. 1, how did you know that your Case was received by NVC?

You can check on your case progress here https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx

You can call NVC now to get your MNL# and continue your visa progress. Times a wasting by waiting for anything. Get your interview fee paid, schedule your appointment and get your documents together; like birth certificate, CENMAR, NBI etc.

It has been a couple weeks start giving NVC a call, it they don't have it yet call them back in a day or so. Details in the link in my signature
