Hi can we do anything about denied visa to UK? Someone I know is in the airport can I hire a lawyer before he's sent back to take him out from there for two weeks?

Sorry, someone is in the UK airport. A visa was denied and you want to know if a lawyer can get him out of the airport?

After denied entry, individual is usually escorted out on the next available flight.

Unless legally contesting the visa denial.. in which case they're detained at a LHR\LGW holding cell till preliminary paperwork.

Was the person a citizen of the USA? Were they actually on some sort of visa trying to enter the UK, or were they just on the VWP? If denied they are generally escorted out immediately on the next available flight home. They are placed in a holding cell until that time, or depending on the situation in certain rare circumstances may be given temporary clearance to enter until being deported a few days later. They will be made to sign something, and generally haven't rights to contest anything. I suppose they could contact their embassy, a lawyer will do nothing for them though.
