221g for Affidavits for K-2 -- Dominican Republic [split topic]

I have a similar situation with SD consulate. ..my step children were interview on July 13th 2015 and we're given a 221g bc now for what ever reason they want an I 864 affidavit for k2 visas. ..well my case remains in AP meanwhile I get a letter from the consulate saying 1 of the 3 children visa was refused bc I passed the 1 yr mark of my husband visa issue which is not true....his visa was issued July 16th 2014....our original interview date was the 6th of July the day they had some kinda technical issues at the consulate and we're reschedule twice by the consulate themselves. ...and with that being said I was STILL with in my 1 yr time frame...they sent a letter stating bc I submitted the affidavit THEY asked for after the 16th of July ....that the year was up by then...I submitted the affidavit on the 27th of July...YES after the 1yr date but they gave us a 221g for submission of documents which clearly states we have 1yr from.the date of the interview to submit requested documents. ...how did they Expect me to submit an affidavit for 3 children in 2 days....??? Now the case is in AP and every email I received from them states they told me to come pick up the passports and documents. ...but no where does it say refused on the ceac.state.gov website and they are not understanding that THEY caused me to go I ver the 1yr mark....not me....is there any hope that I can fight this situation with the consulate. ...This is their mistake not mine....and idk wth to do....I can't stop crying or thinking about this? ?? Someone help me please! !!

The only thing I can recommend that worked for me when fighting with the Embassy was getting you local Senator involved. It is free to have them act on your behalf.
