The request for the NSO marriage certificate in the instructions letter on NSO paper is the CEMAR in the eyes of the embassy.

Ok thanks. Visa was approved, but embassy letter didn't say anything about needing the divorce decree. I'll get details from her eventually and post them here.

Congrats on the approval!!

Divorce Decree - from page three of the embassy instructions letter:

 PROOF OF TERMINATION OF A PRIOR MARRIAGE (if applicable). If your marriage ended by divorce, disappearance or death of the spouse, or annulment, legal and/or civil documentation must be presented attesting to the termination of the marriage (annulment decree, death certificate issued by NSO and printed on NSO security paper, a foreign divorce decree, or foreign death certificate).

almost seems like i should just wait for the letter.the NVC got the package 09/14/2015 and its 30 days after that i should see results rather or not they need more info or she gets interview date.so i have several weeks to go.i guess im still confused on exactly what she needs and what the letter will look like.i dont know if i need to send her all the forms i filled out or not.for now i can have her get the cenmar or the cemar..filling out the green form and just print pictures of our wedding and our time together when i was in manila.almost seems like she doesnt need much at all for her interview.oh and ill have her do her medical in a week or 2.

Yes the interview in Manila is a lot more simple then it first seems. I too was worry about my wife having everything. So I sent her a lot more proof of relationship and more tax info . I was surprise when she told me they just wanted to see her documents and her photo album. and that they only ask her 3 questions. I seen others on here who also had easy interview there.

I am sure your wife will do well at her interview too

The documents my wife bought to the interview and that is require were the NSO marriage certificate , Her NSO birth certificate, the NBI clearance, the cemar, and her passport

I heard if you had been married before then divorce papers are needed but that did not apply for me and my wife. Also if your wife have live in other countries she might need the police clearance from those countries. that also did not apply in my wife case

If she had not already done so your wife will have to attend the CFO seminar before she can leave the Philippines. My wife did it before her interview when she apply for her first passport. after the interview she just had to go to the CFO office and get the sticker in her passport

Even tho they did not ask to see anything I sent my wife I will still recommend sending stuff if you are not sure. It is better to be more prepare and have something you do not need then not to have something

This is a link to the embassy website and the instructions letter for what is required for the interview. Same letter you "might" get in the mail... if you trust PhilPost to deliver.

FOLLOW IT! Use it for your checklist.

Actually I think there is some mis-communication. I was talking about my (petitioner) divorce decree. What you quoted is about my wife's (applicant) divorce decree. She hasn't been divorced.

So she didn't need to bring any divorce paperwork to USEM.

Here is how her interview went:

screener asked for original: BC, MC, Cemar, NBI

CO asked for nothing, only asked 2 questions: "who is the petitioner and how long have you been in a relationship" and "do you know what number to call for emergencies in the US" (911).

CO also spent a couple minutes looking through the document packet sent by NVC and submitted to the screener.

Here is the list of paperwork that my wife and I put together for her to take to the interview. We had a letter from NVC telling what docs were required, then a 2nd letter from USEM telling what docs were required. We put this list together just to be extra-safe and extra-prepared. It wasn't actually all needed, just the 4 docs mentioned above for screener:

PSA/NSO birth cert + copy

PSA/NSO marriage cert + copy

PSA/NSO CENOMAR + copy

Medical exam results packet unopened

NBI clearance issued in last 12 months + copy

valid passport + copy of bio page

DS-260 confirm page

4 visa sized photos (2x2)

NOA2 copy

proof of relationship (photos of wedding, family, etc)

I-864 AOS

US ITR 2014

Amex W2

Amex pay stubs

copy of letter from USEM that we recently received listing docs that are needed

NVC letter with case # (not sure what this is?)

Word of advice to ALL. Go prepared and you should have no problems. Skip the paperwork requested in the Embassy Letter and face a 221(g). Don't assume that the CO is not going to ask you for a document just because you read it here that it was not asked for. I see the process getting streamed lined but no official word as of yet. Normally around the end or at the beginning of the new year will we see any changes. Just my opinion.

Can you complete your profile so others can see what visa you are chasing. Simple steps; Select your picture>Edit Your Profile located under your picture and scroll to the bottom and one of the questions under "immigration profile" is "Immigration Status". Use the drop down box to choose your visa type.

Thanks

Also proof of relationship - all she's taking are some photos and a copy of a receipt for some money I sent her for travel to Manila by Xoom. We can't think of anything else to take. Is that enough? Will more be required and if so what?

Also does my wife need to take a copy of my birth cert and passport? I think I already submitted these to USCIS or NVC. Does she need it for USEM interview? It wasn't listed in Embassy letter. Thanks.
