Don't beat yourself up too much, what's done is done. I'd say you can forego contacting USCIS, I don't think they'd have any significant advice that'd aid you. Just keep calm, prepare for a difficult interview, and be ready to take steps to get a second interview. Don't lose hope, whatever happens you two both still love each other and this process shouldn't change that.

Reading all the reviews and experiences of K1 interviews makes us nervous as well! Proving a genuine relationship to a stranger in 5-10 min is a task.

I guess we can only prepare and put our best foot ahead!!

I decided to ask on the forum and tbone said as long as uscis approved it should be okay. They said I should get a letter from landlord too but don't mention it unless it comes up so my nerves are calmer. Can't wait till this process is over.

We finished the medical part today and planning on calling about the PCC on Monday. I am so ready for this to be over with but I think the PCC should take about a month so we are on hold till then. I am going to take this time as time not to stress out and relax because its not like I can do anything to speed up the process.

It used to take only 3 weeks but I am hearing a rumor that it takes 30 business days or about six weeks with Thailand, you just never know. We are going to try to find a way to shorten it as much as possible. So we are thinking the first week of November, we should be able to start scheduling things.

Sorry for the long delay in updating, Linny and I got back from meeting her folks out in Mizoram only to become terribly ill with the flu while still traveling back! Then it turns out her internet provider has somehow blocked access to the forums on Visajourney? Not sure how that works, but after finding another source of internet here we are.

We'd be looking at heading to the U.S. in just three days, if not for an unfortunate misprint on her Visa ><. Linny's passport had a misprint when first issued years ago, misspelling her last name with two Ls instead of two Is. She got it corrected, so that on the very next page it notes the correction to the spelling of her last name. Now, despite ample amounts of documentation spelling her name correctly, despite the VAC noting, themselves, that her name was misspelled on the first passport page, they still issued a Visa with her last name misspelled. So we're now waiting for them to reprint the Visa with the correction, which takes 2-3 working days (and yesterday was a Holiday....) So sadly now Linny is going to miss Halloween, which she'd been greatly looking forward too =/ Best date we can hope for now is a return on Halloween itself, but more likely within the first couple days of November now =/

So yeah, Visa misprints suck.

I am taking a break for this week and last week not worry about the Visa while we wait for the PCC from Thailand. We sent it almost two weeks ago and they said it should take about a month so we are calling again next week to see how the progress is going. We are thinking about the same dates for the interview too and hoping we will be able to schedule it around sometime next week.

Congratulations to the both of you!!! I am so happy that ya'll were approved and that your staring to plan for the wedding.

I got some bad news in the beginning of the month, Abhishek's dad passed away from a sudden heart attack. I came back to India about two weeks ago and we are coping. Our visa plans have been delayed by a couple of months so if anyone has a number I can call to get in contact with the embassy to see if we can delay our process it would be greatly appreciated.

We also got more bad news about our Thailand police check and the fingers were smug so we back at the beginning again but with dealing with his dad death gives us the needed time because we are now thinking about moving to the states by mid March.

We are taking it day by day...
