K1 Visa Medical Exam Physical (Knightsbridge)

Hello!

First of all, this is my first post in this site so hello and thanks in advance for your help.

I just wanted some detailed information regarding the medical exam (specifically in Knightsbridge). I understand they will conduct an x-Ray and a blood test but what does the 'physical' involve? Will they literally look at my entire body from head to toe?

Reason I ask is partly curiosity but also because I have some very old and not so serious but pretty obvious scars on my upper thigh from self harm years ago. I understand one of the questions they ask is 'have you ever harmed yourself or anyone else?'. I'm not a risk to myself or anyone else and those scars are completely irrelevant to me now BUT if I say 'No' will they see them? If I put 'Yes' then what will happen?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

If you say "Yes" to the self-harm question, you should bring a letter with you from your GP outlining your condition, your current state and that you are no longer a danger to yourself or others.

So by the looks of it they don't literally check your body from head to toe. Ie they won't really see my legs?

Obviously I don't want to 'misrepresent' myself but if they are not going to see my thigh at all then would there be any point in mentioning it at all? Or is it reccommended that I bring it up anyway?

They will see your legs. You'll be in a hospital gown.

So to clarify, the answers to my original questions are as follows:

Will they look at my body from head to toe?: Yes

Will they see my scars?: Yes

So I will answer 'yes' and bring a letter from my GP.

My fiance indicated he had battled some depression 3 years ago while going thru the separation from his wife. He took with him a letter from his doctor but Knightsbridge asked for this additional information.

Just thought I would share so that you know all they will be asking. Hope this helps.

He was given a form by the doctor and asked to have his doctor provide the following information.

Please provide a brief medical report outlining:

• Diagnosis
• Investigations - if any
• Treatment
• Duration of treatments and illness
• Any prior or subsequent mental health illness
• Any incidents of self-harm, harm to others or suicidal attempts
• Prognosis and your opinion of current mental state
