Interview question?

I'm confident that my fiancé and I have everything prepared for the interview. I've spent HOURS AND HOURS on this website preparing everything we need.

So here's the thing. I don't make enough so I had to get a co-sponsor. The co-sponsor is my fathers cousin.

I provided a I 134 for him, his last 3 pay stubs, an employment letter saying he's been employed at the same place for 15 years, his w2 and 1040 tax from the last 3 years.

On last years tax return, he made 89k, the year before 87k and the year before 80k. It's supported on his w2's.

On the last 3 pay stubs I provided, it has different check amounts, some being lower and some being higher. He works at a job where some weeks are really good in cash and others are really low.

So what if they look at the paystubs and are like "well it doesn't seem like he's making 89k right now". Should my fiancé explain to him that on some pay checks he makes a lot more money and on others he makes much less? Because he's still getting paid the same this year just in different amounts. I don't want them to think we fabricated how much he gets paid and think we lied on the application because we didn't.

I don't think it will be that big of a deal because his tax returns for 3 years indicate he makes enough and his employment letter states he's been working there 15 years. I just don't want the person conducting the interview to get confused about how much my co-sponsor makes.

Also, for his I 134 it asked have you applied for anyone before and we put down that he applied for his wife 10 years ago to come to the U.S. on a k3 visa. That shouldn't matter but again, I don't want anything to go wrong so I'm going out of my way to ensure everything goes smoothly.

Any tips or recommendations would be appreciated.

I'll let the more experienced members answer question #1 but #2 is asking if YOU, the petitioner, has submitted an Affidavit of Support for someone else in the past. If you haven't, then just list your current fiancé(e) on there... see the sample form on this site under "Sample Forms" link at the top of the page.

I filed an I 134 affidavit of support for my co-sponsor and the question was directed towards him. On my I 134, I put that I didnt.

I asked people who have filed before and they said its best to disclose that he did file on behalf of his wife 10 years ago.

Thank you for the reply.

I know of several k1 cases (Sarajevo consulate) where the CO didn't even ask to see the I-134 or any supporting documents saying they were unimportant (my case included). I hope it will go as smoothly for your fiance as it did for me and several other k1s from Bosnia that I've met through VJ :)

And oh, my interview was 7 days after I emailed them that I had all the paperwork and was ready but I know it's happened before that they postponed interviews so I guess it all is just luck and nothing else,

I filed an I 134 affidavit of support for my co-sponsor and the question was directed towards him. On my I 134, I put that I didnt.

I think it will be okay because of the tax years. If you want, you could type out a letter to explain the money differences, if you want. Maybe have it written as if the cousin wrote it and then have him okay it and sign it himself. :)
