Universal Background checks for Firearms

I came across an interesting opinion last night that I thought I would share.

Its sort of a grand compromise. If universal checks were passed, there would no longer be a need for state to state transfers between FFLs. That transfer requirement is before national databases and would be obsolete. IE now with a universal background check, I could go to say Arizona and buy any firearm i want....and if its legal in my state, take it back with me.

I'm actually 100% for this, because it would kill the California handgun roster overnight (which limits what can be sold in the state - not what can be brought across state lines).

In order for a UBC to have any meaning, it requires gun registration and this is a problem. It is a problem because, as the gun community correctly argues, registration leads to confiscation. NY governor Cuomo put it, "Confiscation could be an option".

I just can't get behind the gun crowd. They just aren't credible when it comes to discussions about gun law - its 90% paranoia, 9% incoherence and 1% actual fact.

Have you looked at the TC Dimension? You can swap out barrels for different calibers.
