we filed i-485 on nov. 2004. we have paid 2 times for work permit because they cancelled the last appointement for nov 1st 2005. so we had to get a new work permit which cocts $180.00 now we are still waiting for new i-485 appointment. today i got a letter saying wife needs to go for another finger print because the time has expired and guess what? pay another $75.00 because they are late. i just don`t get it. is tampa florida that slow. and why do we have to pay this money again? is anyone else having these problems with the i-485? thanks for any help you can give. :angry::crying:

noa 2 april 6th

nvc rec. april 15th

sent to lima, peru april 19th

recieved in lima april 25th

packet 3 may 5th

rec-packet 4 may 6th

interview date.....may 24th

interview failed. will try again.

2nd interview july 6th was successful

pickup visas july 8th

arrived in florida july 22

married on august 6th

It sounds like you are really getting the run-around. I tend to agree with the other poster, contact your elected representative. Good luck

Hey gunner58! I think it is strange because when I do fingerprint for 2nd EAD back when we were in Florida that I didn't need to pay for. Actually I can tell you that I didn't even pay from the first time. I submmited AOS back in 2003 when we were in Utah. And when I went to do interview last year I didn't have to pay for fingerprint.

I think you better contact your congressman or senator to help you.

11-17-03 - NOA I-485 (Nov 12)

11-18-03 - NOA I-765 (Nov 12)

12-03-03 - Fingerprint and Photo.

01-26-04 - Apply SSN, card by mail on 02/03/04

02-23-04 - EAD approved, received card by mail on 02/28/04

03-17-04 - Move to Lake mary, Florida.

03-20-04 - Apply State ID, received card on 04/05/04

08-26-04 - Salt Lake City,Utah sent me AOS interview letter today; however, I live in Lake Mary, FL

10-10-04 - Driver License in Hand (I past the first time for my driving test.)

01-31-05 - Move to Fairfax, Virginia

02-17-05 - EAD is approved (Renew)received card by mail on 03/04/05

05-20-05 - Move to Manassas, Virginia

10-19-05 - Infopass visit CIS office

10-22-05 - Green card interview letter arrived in Mail

12-05-05 - Interview complete, but need more evidence have to wait 6 more weeks or less for real green-card

12-12-05 - Greencard by mail

12-08-08 - "PASSED" Interview

02-12-09 - US citizen
