Posted this in Sept 2015 filers thread, maybe better here in general forum…

Hello to all. I am a PR who just recently filed my N-400 on August 28th at the Dallas/Lewisville lockbox. My check has been cashed and I received my NOA 1 (with a notice receipt date of September 2nd and a notice date of September 4th) sometime between Sept 5th and 12th; I cannot be sure as I was traveling. Can anyone give me an idea of how and when I will be notified of the biometrics appointment? I have not signed up for online updates as of yet.

Thanks very much.

Typically within 5-10 days of receiving the NOA. I got mine within 6 days.

Thanks for your reply. Do they update the USCIS case status online when they send the fingerprints letter?

Thanks,

RH

Not to my knowledge. The next status update will be when they start the interview scheduling process.

Ok, thanks again. How long should I wait before giving them a call, re: fingerprints?

They usually ask you to wait 30 days, that is what I was told when I filed mine, it was 2 weeks (maybe a little longer) until i got my bio notice in the mail.
