Multiple change of status within 2 weeks of interview: ready...AP...AP...ready...AP, please help if you had similar experience

Hi all,

My fiancée had her interview for K-1 visa on Friday August 28th, she was told "your visa is approved, expect to receive a text next week and you can pick it up within 2 weeks" and she was also given a paper titled "collecting your US-Issued Immigrant visa". she neither received any text nor was the visa ready and this is the 3rd week. While we understand to wait, the confusing part is the change of status each time we check the CEAT, USTRAVEL DOCS, AND CGIFEDERAL websites.

USTRAVELDOCS: status was "your passport is still with the embassy/consulate" for about 2 weeks and then it changes to "there is no status update for the passport number you entered"

CGIFEDERAL: status was "your passport is still with the embassy/consulate" for over a week and then it changed to "document delivery information" which I guess is not a change but just the title of that box?

CEAC:

1. "ready" and after the interview, status changes to

2. "Administrative Processing" for about 2 weeks and then changed again to

3. "AP"...this I think is probably because I called them and sent them an email. but it changed the next day to

3. "ready". But this time, is said she should expect an interview but if an interview or documents are not requested (which non was) then to check back later for status update, the same day the status changed again to

4. "AP".

this seem like a lot of changes within 2.5 weeks, is this experience familiar, any insight?

We dont have a K1 we are married but if it makes you feel any better we have been waiting 2.5 weeks and nothing yet either. But they are behind on processing and I have been told that its been taking 3 weeks to process the visas

I remember reading once on here that it always says AP right before its going to be ready. There was a thread from someone who was concerned because his status said AP but then the next day it was ready and he collected it.

I seem to be having this same issue our interview was September 4th, has anyone heard anything else?

Just when I thought I was getting delays, I emailed the embassy and got a reply that my case can not be found anywhere in their system, that it has to be approved by the NVC. Funny coz it has been approved by NVC since June and interview at the consulate was approved August 28th. send them all the information and received another reply that is still being processed, i.e. AP.

This is almost one month, there is no request for additional information, what can I do at this point. the AP is as hopeless as a situation can get. Any input/advice will be greatly appreciated!

Also, I have heard from a different post to "call DOS (department of state I assume)". will that be helpful, and if yes, is it the same number no matter where you're from? does anyone know the number or how to get it?
