That is so true!!!  And normally you shoot the engineers right after you're done hanging the marketing guys...

Can't recall who said it, or if this is exact, but:

"In the life cycle of any project, there comes a time to shoot the engineers and go into production."

It only shows the school embraces diversity - they do cater to a diversity of phobias!

imagine that, a school full of kids/teachers/administrators that are terrified of islam, disciplining not one but two scary kids for absolutely nothing.

but you guys read this as evidence of what exactly? these two kids have been plotting and scheming this whole time?

I think things like this are learned at home don't you? Worth a peek into the family garage and attic to see what daddy does in his spare time...

did you not read that ahmed's sister says she didn't make a bomb threat? she spoke very little english, etcetc. i mean imagine that, a new kid, a foreigner at that, in texas, being treated poorly in an obviously islamaphobic environment. it's obvious to me that brietbart is trying to spin the story a particular way, they know their base afterall, but you know applying a little bit of your own ability to reason instead of letting fear take over your brain is always a good call.

I am using reason. I have kids and everything. IF one of my kids got suspended for a bomb threat there is NO way i would send another one to the same school with a "suitcase clock". Either this family is playing games or they're dumb as stumps.

what if one of your kids was suspended for a bomb threat when you'd first moved to a new country, and your kid was adamant they'd made no such threat? would you believe your own child?

the way i see it, the games being played right now are confined to the media and are stricly political. generally speaking i'm completely open to conspiracy theory, but the brietbart article reeks of a desparate attempt to justify the position that this kid deserved what he got. even if these two kids hatched an elaborate plan (spanning three years?) to prove a point to a school that mistreated them, doesn't change the clear misconduct of the school and more importantly, the police. anyway as adults we need to be looking at the adult behavior in this incident that is in need of correcting, not the kid. end of the day, it was a clock not a bomb. the school wasn't evacuated (this first and foremost tells me that the teacher didn't actually feel the clock was an immediate threat) and that makes the school and the cops look like a bunch of paranoid bigots.

Why is there a reason to be fearful of the Religion of Peace?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

“Religion is based primarily upon fear. It is partly the terror of the unknown and partly as the wish to feel that you have a kind of elder brother who will stand by you in all your troubles and disputes. Fear of the mysterious, fear of defeat, fear of death. Fear is the parent of cruelty, and therefore it is no wonder if cruelty and religion have gone hand in hand. It is because fear is at the basis of those two things. In this world we can now begin a little to understand things, and a little to master them by help of science, which has forced its way step by step against the opposition of all the old precepts. Science can help us to get over this craven fear in which mankind has lived for so many generations. Science can teach us, and I think our own hearts can teach us, no longer to look around for imaginary supports, no longer to invent allies in the sky, but rather to look to our own efforts here below to make this world a fit place to live in, instead of the place that the churches in all these centuries have made it.”

It's a Bushism:

'That's not what Islam is all about. Islam is peace.' (source: http://georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov/news/releases/2001/09/20010917-11.html)

Why is there a reason to use this phrase?

I prefer queen or king myself. The other sleeper cells are too small. Oftentimes the cat the dog like to cuddle up with us.

This is the newest member of the Teddy B family. His name is Dexter, I'm thinking he's part of a doggy sleeper cell
