Ok so everthing seemed to be working out

Interview April 4th

5-6-9-10-11-12th of April to receive the visa

My Fiance coming on April 12th to get me....

BUT NO!!!!

April 6th (friday) AND 9th (monday), there is no mail delivery due to easter!!!!!!

now im not sure anymore :(

I need an adivce on this....sincce all of you receive there visa in 2 business days, I could still wish for the 10......but I dont know what to think.... :help:

Even with the holidays, i would think you would have it for the 12th!! Or you could sweet talk them,and maybe they give it out the same day!! I know one member that did that at mtl!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

like asking them to have the next day pick up to make up for the holidays ?

Are you allowed to give them say a "next day" pre-paid FedEx envelope instead of xpresspost?

Here's what I have in packet4

We can only return visas using the Canada Post Xpresspost service, not by regular mail or private courier service.

So I guess not :(

Mephys, I think you'll be fine though. Maybe ask real nicely about the pickup next day, etc. and mention that your fiance is flying up here to help you move, etc.

Hey, I noticed after your fiance left you're back to stressing out about this stuff! Too soon for you to do that, you should still be riding that high from his visit!

Right...of course I had to have that stupid detail popping in my face TONIGHT!! Ok hes waiting on me to have a hot chocolate with Amarula and Frangelico in it....im getting loaded to sleep tight tonight, sharing drinks over the webcams :thumbs:

NB Amarula is good. Tim horton's coffee with Amarula must be decent :P

well....... Im thinkin you have technically have 4 good if not 4 1/2 ( if they mail same day at least) solid delivery days. i feel really positive for you.......why you might ask? geeez girl you got your interview with like 5 weeks + notice......you've had pretty much a good ride so far so why would that change now? breathe easy , it's all gonna work out for you :)

My interview was yesterday, and I was APPROVED!

I will let you know when I receive my Visa and passport back. That way you can have a better time-frame.
