Indonesia - Police Check

Can anyone confirm that I don't have to bring any letter or proof that it is not possible to obtain a police check from Indonesia?

My story: I am Canadian and five years ago I spent some time in Indonesia on consecutive and extended socio-cultural visas. We didn't include this information in our application and husband wanted me to lie about my time there, but i am not able to do that. Reciprocity page indicates that police certificates are not available from Indonesia, however Canadian immigration does insist on police certificates so there must be something that is available. I called Indonesian Embassy in Ottawa and they were no help. They redirected me to this email: giatmas.mbs@gmail.com that I've already contacted with no response. They also refused to write me a letter confirming that I cannot obtain a police certificate b/c I am missing particulars such as Kitas etc.

I am worried that my inability to procure anything to show proof that I could not obtain a police certificate will delay us. My interview is October 23rd. I thought it would be okay as I had spent under 12 months there, but the US embassy in Montreal wants police certificates for any place I've been for more than 6 months. I do not want to lie and embassy reviews indicate that they always ask if you've lived elsewhere.

I guess I just want some reassurance :(

Police, Court, Prison Records

Police Records

Unavailable for applicants inside and outside Indonesia. Indonesian police certificates require initial processing at a local or village level, which is nonstandard in nature, can be subject to capricious decisions by officials and may require nonofficial payments to proceed further."

Prison Records

Available. Prison records for persons residing in Indonesia sentenced to prison terms of more than one year may be obtained from the Fingerprint Division, Pemasyarakatan, Department of Justice and Human Rights, Jalan Veteran No. 11, Jakarta Pusat, Indonesia. For applicants sentenced to prison terms of less than one year, records may be obtained from the warden of the prison where the imprisonment occurred.

I emailed and asked the IV department of the Embassy at Jakarta some time ago, and they did confirm me police certificates issued in Indonesia aren't needed.
