Interesting. I dump all cookies regularly, as I don't want anyone following my activity.

ditto - i have a shorcut to the cookie folder and manually delete them about every 30 min max. i hate tracking cookies.

Umm, kinda computer dumb here. . . how do you delete the cookies? I see them in the privacy report, but how do you delete them from here?

Are you using MS Explorer 7.0? If so, go to the right side of the toolbar. Select "tools". Then "Internet options".

When that window opens, you can see "browsing options", which will offer a delete option for: Cookies, Temporary Internet Files, web information and passwords.

If you want good security, select delete.

Thanks, should I be deleting the files in theTemporary internet files (and all off like content stored locally) as well as the cookie files?

i do once a week just to clean things up. also worth doing just before you do a virus or spyware sweep too, less for it to look at.

Internet Explorer 7 allows you to view multiple websites in one window at once. I wish this feature will be integrated into Firefox. My default browser is Firefox.

I don't like IE due to the fact that they like to monopolize on features, and services which jack up the prices on their goods and services.

Firefox had tabbed browsing before IE.

I use both Firefox and IE7, the latter I think got the tab idea from Firefox. It does take some getting used to, but since I've been using Firefox longer than I have IE7, it wasn't a big deal using IE's new browser.

Eh..Em. It's not tabbed browsing that I'm talking about. You haven't used IE 7, yet? It has a feature that shows mulitple websites in one screen. You can see multiple viewing, without tabs! Geezes, read it carefully.

In other words, it shrinks the websites into smaller versions and display them as thumbnails inside one tab if you want to think of it as that. Now, if you used IE 7.0 you'll realize that this is not the same thing a tabbed browsing which I am aware of. Please, read it carefully and do a little research.

Not abig fan of the new IE, much prefer Firefox

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I like the multitab feature (which is ideal for the "movie pong" threads).

Con’s: The toolbar arrangement is completely different. I am starting to get acclimated, but I still have unanswered questions. Such as, where is the “edit” option”. e.g. edit, select all, and so forth.

Hit the 'Alt' key when in IE7 to display the 'classic menu' bar. You can turn it on permanently by going to View | Toolbars and clicking 'classic menus' (I think that's what it is - going from memory).

I *hate* IE7. The layout is absolutely awful and can't be customized. I use Firefox anyway but some sites (Windows Update & WSUS management come to mind) require IE.
