A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

No leaks! At first I always wore them with pads, just in case, but turns out I didn't need them.

They are inserted like a diaphragm. It covers the cervix, and collects the

When I used a diaphragm, it was very handy, although it did get stained  I was the only one who saw it, so it really didn't matter....

Assume that "Instead" is somewhat permeable and therefore can't be marketed as a bc device??? One size fits all, I suppose...

I do believe we have officially crossed the line of TMI....

Well, my first visit ever to see Marlon I started my period the day after I got there! :o

I have been on the pill for almost 2 years and never really thought that I could change it but thanks to my friend, I will be having my period this week rather than next week!

OMG! I remember those! Had a hell of time inserting it and don't think I even did that right! Afterwards was GROSS! lol But hey, whatever works!

Sorry... it's definitely thumbs down for me. I'm done 'birthin' babies', so it's a useless inconvenience at this point.

No kidding.

I started when I was 10 freaking years old. I'll be 50 this summer.

I wish I had all the money I ever spent on tampons. I bet I could buy a house.

Add 3.5 more years to that, and it hasn't stopped yet.

It seems that until you're a year into meopause, you can still conceive. Not a comforting thought!

Why have I never heard about this before?

I know, right? I have seen ads for the Diva Cup in magazines like Bust before, but that always seemed impractical as it's not disposable (what do you do in public?) This seems like a better solution

I had never realized that the Instead cup lets you have sex... very interesting! Good tip.

I'm guessing that you don't hear about the diva cup because it isn't really worth it for major companies and drug stores to carry and advertise it - they'll just lose your lucrative monthly business for all the disposable stuff! Not very smart business for them. I swear that I've only spent about $15 on sanitary supplies since buying my cup. Five years ago. And part of that is "emergency supplies" that I leave in the bathroom for visiting female friends.

I almost never have to change it in public because it lasts so long! Insert it in the morning and you're probably good for the day. Maybe the day and night. But then, yes, sometimes you have to change it - in public you just wipe it out with tissue and you can get messy fingers. And it takes some practice to get the hang of the thing - some people just never do get used to being "down there," so it isn't for everyone.

I keep hoping stupidly that start early might lead to finish early but I'm 45 now and everything is working fine and has done for 35 years.

Worst thing is way back the first time when I was 10, I didn't understand my mother's explanation, I thought it was a one time thing. I freaked out the second time. :crying:
