Just curious.

I am currently a UK citizen who has immigrated into the US via a K-1 visa. I am now married to my wife - a USC - and am waiting for my Green Card to arrive.

In a couple of years or so, I will remove my conditions on the GC and then apply for naturalization.

At that point, would it be hypothetically possible for me to submit an application for my siblings to emigrate to the US? Or are there certain extenuating circumstances that we would have to meet before we could do that?

I don't suppose it would be possible for me to do the same for my parents?

Thanks,

Mark

Once you become a US citizen you can apply for your siblings and parents. From what I understand it takes over 10 years for your siblings to be able to come to the US with a non-immigrant visa and a little less for your parents.

Removing Conditions

08/14/09 - Biometrics

10/01/09 - Received 10 year green card

U.S. Citizenship

As soon as you become a Citizen you can fike for your parents, they are classed as immediate relatives and they only have to wait for about the same time as you did for your K1... your siblings will have to wait for a few years as a visa is not immediatly available for them but you can file for them as soon as you become a citizen...

Here is a link to the USCIS site that explains who it works:- http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...00045f3d6a1RCRD

Hope this helps

There is a table that shows the waiting time to bring a sibling but I can't seem to find it right now. If I remember right I do believe it is 10 or 11 years to bring a sibling from England and it is about 25 years for a sibling from the Philippines. If I can find the table I will post the link.
