If you have never driven before, even in your home country, You may want to consider going through a driving school. They can cost a bit, but they have the experience and patience needed to teach a novice driver. Like someone mentioned before, it will also help keep your insurance costs down. Often you will find driving schools that offer special programs for adults so you are not sitting next to a 15 yr old in class. Going though the driving school is helpful for all the tests too. When I was a teenager I went to a driving school (17 years ago!) and the permit test was administered there by the instructor. They also helped us practice for the road test and for a small fee we could use the schools car to take the test in.

As an adult it may be a bit strange going to driving school, but I think the benifits will outweigh the weirdness.

Good Luck in whatever you decide!

Sue

I am practicing now turning and it makes me hard still...the moment I turn I couldn't go the proper direction. I have to practice more on how to turn with good timing...lol.. :star:
