Can't help but notice you resemble one of this year's American Idol singers - the rather handsome, big shouldered fellow sporting a gotee (spelling?). Svetlana is convinced, shouting "Look...Slim!!" at the TV last week. We've had quite a fun time with it and are now cheering for you all the way!!

I'm not an Idol viewer, but yes of course, I understand how a rather handsome, big shouldered fellow could remind you guys of me!

Just kidding, but that's awesome that you were watching a prime-time show and thought of me! I feel like a VJ celebrity! VJ Idol, maybe?

I did a lot of karaoke in Korea. I was never selected for the next round or anything, but my "Roxanne" rendition is amazing! (You have to be sloshed to really appreciate it!)

(In an interesting side note about American Idol, a few years back, I met a girl with an AMAZING voice. She was maybe one of the best singers I've ever heard in my life. I said "you should go on American Idol." She replied that she had tried out, but Simon and the rest of them told her that although she had a great voice, she needed to work on her look. She related that she showed up to the audition wearing a jacket and slacks while the girls that got selected to advance to the next round (who had HORRIBLE voices) wore short mini-skirts and revealing tops. I didn't watch American Idol before (unless you count a clip from William Hung!) but after hearing her story, and her voice, I decided that I would never watch it.)
