Honeymoon to US Virgin Islands

Hi, so I got to the U.S. on a K1 visa, got married in July and send in the AOS papers last week. We are looking into honeymoon vacation spots and are thinking about going to the U.S. Virgin Islands - this should not be an issue as it is US territory, therefore I am not leaving the U.S. - correct?? Any help appreciated, thank you!

Only if your a USA citizen you don't need a passport to enter U.S. Virgin Islands . So if your re entering you would need another visa

This question has been asked a great many times. The ever-present danger is that of leaving U.S. territory. Whether by boat or plane, the risk is always there.

The oft-recommended solution is to take a honeymoon trip within the 50 U.S. states, and to save anything smacking of international travel for later, after the Advance Parole or optimally the green card is in hand.

You are better off flying to Hawaii if you want an Island vacation. As said before, traveling to US Territories can be risky, especially if you decided to visit a Caribbean Island other than the US Virgin Islands or Puerto Rico.

Not if you want to be readmitted to the U.S. without having to file a petition.

So long are you fly non-stop to/from the mainland or PR you're ok. As others pointed out, consider postponing your honeymoon until the AOS is completed just to be on the safe side.
