Never said it's wrong to fingerprint people or photograph. I asked you what makes you think ISIS is among their numbers.

I could say the same thing about registering people who carry firearms. Do you think it's wrong for the government to have a roster of people who carry guns?

I think its wrong to call refugees invaders, but I will agree on one count - there probably are ISIS fighters hiding within the refugees. The US government also thinks so, hence we have been slow to process refugees. Lots of security checks etc.

The liberal elite ... know that the people simply cannot be trusted; that they are incapable of just and fair self-government; that left to their own devices, their society will be racist, sexist, homophobic, and inequitable -- and the liberal elite know how to fix things. They are going to help us live the good and just life, even if they have to lie to us and force us to do it. And they detest those who stand in their way."

How America-centric.

For someone who "allegedly" lives nearer to Europe than the rest of some of these posters you don't seem to know much about the political climate here.

Other than my daughter attending Delft this semester you are right, I neither know nor particularly care about the political climate in Europe. Just saying. It's kind of a hole in my view.

Anything else? Alrighty then. Back to the psychology book for you. Hopefully you can hone your Middle East expertise.

Alrighty then

But let's throw out some anti European invective anyway eh, just because. It's not exactly an advertisement for open-mindedness

Like immigrants who do not think they should have to identify themselves, immigrants to America who wish to throw snide, anti-American comments around can also go back home. Since it's so much better there and all.

My view of this is that people shouldn't be so oversensitive that anyone who questions the USAs cartoonish politics gets told to" go back to their own country". After all, it's not as though the "get out" crowd hold the monopoly on patriotism. Quite the opposite I'd say.

The best response to Blunt would be to talk about the candidates, what they are running on and why people should vote for them. Going by VJ at least, noone really seems to be doing that. Maybe it's because, deep down, everyone knows she's right.

Can not think of a single candidate worth voting for.

Fair enough. But on the basis of the linked story if you say it publicly, as an immigrant, it's apparently enough for people to tell you to go back to where you came from. Is this the sort of message people should be pushing?

It's one thing to disagree with someone's views, another to tell them to get out for expressing them. Quite against the spirit of the constitution I'd say.
