If Petitioner Leaves job but we have submitted tax return statement of 2014 and we have also a joint sponser, but last months my wife leaved her job, because she's ill. and my interview is in oct 6. I don't want her to do a job. SO if in a interview they ask me about what is she doing. and if i tell the truth. SO is this a negative Sign?

I would suggest you to not lie at any time and for any reason. They might and most probably will check with the employer. You should explain the reason of her leaving her job which is sickness. Also if you have savings in your bank account, you can show them that and tell them that your are able to support yourself as well.If you tell them that "i don't want her to work" then it might create a negative impact,in my opinion. So refrain from saying "i don't want her to work" instead try to explain the situation.god bless

You said she's ill? If she has proof to support this claim that she is too ill to work presently and receiving some sort of financial benefits, bring those with you to the interview just in case. All you can do is be honest and upfront about the matter. The important thing is she was working and showing she had income for last year (which is what they wanted). Honestly I wouldn't even mention this information unless asked. Don't offer any information outside of what they ask you but go prepared. I wouldn't tell them though (if you are asked) that you "Prefer her not to work." That probably won't look good at all. Again refrain from offering ANY information unless specifically asked.

This would be a good time for you both to see if you can add any assets to your proof of income, any investments, savings accounts etc will do. Have those copied and prepared to show if asked. My second suggestion is to evaluate her condition to see if she can even work part time and my third suggestion is to show them your bank account (in US funds) to show you can support yourself while you wait for your green card and for her to get better.

Best of luck! I'm sure you're not the only one who has run into this problem. I'm just not sure how picky they are about sickness.

It is current and ongoing income that matters, so yes, this will be a problem.

Did she actually leave her job or is just on sick leave?

Does she have enough assets to sponsor you? If not, get a co-sponsor or delay until she is well and can get another job.

Ah sorry I missed the joint sponsor bit in the Op. Yes, then no problem as long as the joint sponsor is well qualified.
