GF and I lived in same City

Hello,

SO I'm going to ask my girlfriend to marry me. She already did the intent to marry letter ( so did I), I already bought the ring, etc.

I've been living in Canada for the last 4 years, and am planning to move back to the USA to be closer to family. I got a job offer back home and am planning on moving in a few weeks.

When I submit my K-1 Visa Application, I got already a number of various evidence that she and I have met each other within the past two years. We did a trip together, I am going to manage to show that we had the same stamp on our passports, etc. We got boarding passes, etc. Also a receipt for a massage with both of our names on it.

I basically want to make sure that the officer realizes that it is not a case where I lived in the USA when I met her in Canada. I lived in the same city as her, when we met. I was thinking about getting a few months of credit card statements of her and I, and highlighting accordingly that we ate meals together on a number of occasions, on the same date, etc. We use the same bank in Canada.

I was also thinking of adding a map showing where she lives and where I lived, showing that it's about 20 km away from eachother.

I am planning to include my offer letter of employment in the USA with the packet, explaining that I am expecting to work in the USA. ( Please confirm if this sounds like a good idea in my situation.

Anyone have thoughts on this? Am I on the right track?

In regards to the proof of you guys actually meeting I think pictures of you two together and the boarding passes and such is a great idea. The credit card statements and the map is imo not necessary

No offense but seems you are making it more complicated than it is or needs to be ? The requirement is you've met within 2 yrs. You have. I would just file after you get back. You seem to already be prepared and forward thinking keeping all the documentation seems more than enough.

A bit confused, you start saying you are going to ask, but already prefilled forms and bought ring, so did you or not? I'd think i would just make it easier and unless far off, just wait to you are Stateside before filing its just a few weeks and removes one less wrinkle.
